Product details
Perk is an ultra-concentrated, reusable cold-water cleaner for delicate and antique fabrics. Use it on antique or vintage clothing, doll clothes, cloth dolls, christening gowns, stuffed animals and toys, quilts, foxed or antique lace, silk and virtually any other fabric.
Perk safely removes old blood, iodine, food, yellow and brown age stains, water marks, asphalt and most other difficult stains from just about any fabric. Even taffeta keeps most of its original crispness. Perk is completely biodegradable and will not harm septic systems. For really stubborn stains, add Booost.
Directions:
- Dilute one part Perk with three parts cold water.
- Immerse the item for one to one and a half hours, agitating from time to time.
- Rinse under cold running water. Remove excess by rolling in a towel and pressing — do not twist or wring.
- To remove any residue, dip in a white-vinegar bath (one ounce vinegar to a cup of water), then rinse again in cold water.
Notes: For tough spots, pour Perk directly on the area and soak about half an hour. Some fabrics are not colorfast — test on an inside seam or hem first. Remove and wash trim like ric-rac, velvet and velveteen separately. Perk softens glue, so avoid flocked fabrics and glued-on trim. Save the diluted solution to reuse as a first wash for heavily soiled items.
Caution: Contains surfactants that can irritate the eyes. If eye contact occurs, flush with plenty of water; if irritation persists, consult a physician. Keep out of the reach of children.
