Remove-Zit

Remove-Zit lifts ink, magic marker, mold, mildew, fungus, food, dye and metal “green ear” stains from vinyl, hard and soft plastic, fired bisque and porcelain. Restorers and collectors have trusted it for over 30 years — on vinyl action figures, on dolls like American Girl, Barbie and Chatty Cathy, and on vinyl surfaces such as car upholstery and boat seats.

Not for use on celluloid, papier-mâché, polystyrene, or composition. Remove-Zit is a time-proven aid in the preservation of vinyl materials.

Test first, every time. There are many kinds of plastic. Vinyl is a plastic, but not all plastics are vinyl. If you are not certain what you are working with, place a small spot of Remove-Zit in an inconspicuous area on each stained part before you begin. If the test bubbles or gets sticky, remove it immediately.

Some vinyl and plastic items were airbrushed or painted during manufacture. Remove-Zit will remove paint, so keep it away from painted and cosmetic features. Removing a stubborn stain can take a month or longer. Read the directions, follow them, and have patience.

Directions:

• Test first in a small area, then apply a thin coat with the flat end of a toothpick or a needle.
• Keep away from painted and cosmetic features. Use a needle to apply near details like freckles.
• Leave undisturbed for a day or so, then lift off the spent Remove-Zit with a needle or toothpick. Re-apply as needed.

Do not wash the area between applications. Remove-Zit is not water soluble; Formula 9-1-1 will remove it. Shelf life is about twelve months. Replace the lid when not in use.

Caution: Contact with eyes, lips or skin can cause dryness or irritation. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. If swallowed, consult a physician. Contains organic peroxides. Keep this and all chemical materials out of the reach of children.
